KIMS conducts a range of training programs for medical graduates and other health professionals. They may be categorised under:
Accreditation Criteria and Standards Accreditation criteria should be met by all training centers and training programs. They can be reviewed as per the booklet. Newly qualified medical graduates follow a basic training program (rotating internship) conducted at various hospitals of the Ministry of Health, under the supervision of KIMS. At present, training is offered at the following hospitals: Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital, Amiri Hospital, Adan Hospital, Sabah Hospital, Jahra Hospital, Farwania Hospital, and Maternity Hospital During this one-year period, the interns follow courses in Medical Ethics and in Cardiac Life Support, in addition to formal internship training. A number
of Faculties and Committees have been established to initiate and coordinate
postgraduate training in the different specialties.
