The Medical Research
Unit (MRU) promotes research in the Ministry of Health by addressing
the scientific and clinical concerns of the health professionals. By
providing financial grants, it supports programs that advance medical
research and apply recent technologies. Proposals for research projects
are peer-reviewed. The results of the investigations are expected to
contribute to advancements in the health sciences.

Vision 2020 - Workforce needs of health professionals in Kuwait
Health Vision 2020 - Workforce needs of health professionals in Kuwait
is a project undertaken by the academic research team of the Kuwait
Institute for Medical Specialization. It aims to indicate the projected
needs of physicians, dentists and nurses required for maintaining an
optimum level of healthcare services for the state of Kuwait.
The project is presented in two parts: Part I - Physicians
and Dentists, and Part II - Nurses.

for Conducting and Reporting Health Research (Requires

The aim
of this guide is to provide health professionals with the essential
research procedures required for planning and conducting research. It
also highlights the mechanism of presenting a scientific publication
in a systemic way. A pdf version
of the guide is available online for self-learning, and whenever they
pursue a research or prepare a publication.
